The initial works were for one storage mezzanine floor, which was to be installed over an ‘in situ’ moulding machine. For these works, we had to enlist the assistance of a spider crane, due to the height and fixing locations of our steelwork.
During this installation, we were approached by the customer to provide a second mezzanine, for a canteen area, located beneath the mezzanine we were erecting. Of course we obliged, (with approval from Building Control) in addition to the second mezzanine, they also requested an external walkway to be able to access their storage containers and cat ladder acting as a fire escape from the upper levels inside.
